Skate Shoe Memories: Converse Cons, Vision Street Wear

I can’t believe it, the Converse Cons that I used to wear back in the late 80s have been revamped for the Converse Skateboarding line! How cool is that. The Gold and Black is the new one incase you couldn’t tell. They also brought back the Weapon but I don’t think that is in the skateboarding lineup. I don’t have pics of the other skateboarding shoes they have released because I mainly wanted to show a comparison of the same model from back in the day to now. I’m so happy that the skate companies have started in recent years to bring back the high top….man, when I first started skateboarding, all I would wear was high tops, it just made sense with the ankle protection and stability it brought. Yep, the rolled up jeans and the converse high tops, of course then I moved on to a pair of suede Vision Street Wear High Tops, with the “Ollie Pad” πŸ™‚ Ah yes, there they are down below! Totally Rad! πŸ™‚ Hmm, they still look awesome, wonder if they still make ’em…gonna go check now! πŸ™‚
